Which head net to choose?
The Head Net Pop-up unfolds automatically and has an incorporated head. Before using the Head Net Classic, first put on a head or cap. It is recommended to keep distance between net and skin.
Is it safe to wear a head net?
Both head nets are made of durable polyester fibre. The mesh is 900. Due to the high number of holes per square inch, the airflow in these head nets is lower than the mosquito nets. For this reason, the fine-meshed head nets are not suitable for (sub)tropical destinations are this can lead to anxiety.
Are the head nets suitable for northern areas?
These fine-meshed mosquito nets are ideally suited for use in northern areas, such as Scandinavia, Scotland and Canada. Head nets are specially designed to stop small insects such as midges, which are common in these regions and often come in swarms. The stings from these tiny flies are extremely painful and so you definitely want to avoid them! These head mosquito nets are handy for use during all kinds of activities, such as fishing, hiking or reading quietly outside at night. Both at home and when travelling.
How do you best protect yourself and your family from stings and bites?
Besides using a head mosquito net, it is important to cover your skin with clothes as much as possible, especially when going outside. Carefully lubricate uncovered skin with a good anti-insect product. Most mosquitoes sting mainly after sunset, but it is smart to lubricate yourself well both during the day and before night.
