Jellyfish on the Dutch coast
With temperatures around 28 degrees, we will be heading for the beach en masse this weekend. But watch out for jellyfish! The easterly wind brings them to shore and the beaches will be full of jellyfish. Many species of jellyfish can sting painfully when they come into contact with people.
More attention for the tick
More than 1.500.000 tick bites are registered per year in the Netherlands and they can be dangerous. More than 20% of these blood-thirsty creatures are infected with Borrelia bacteria, which can cause Lyme disease. So, prevent those nasty tick bites!
